The 1100 Club’s Spring Show for 2024 will take place at the Bubble Car Museum near Boston in Lincolnshire on Drive It Day, which is 21st April. Entry to the rally field on the day is free, but visitors would be strongly encouraged to visit the museum, which costs just £4 per adult to enter, or £1 per child, and also offers a paper guidebook to tell you about the cars on show for an additional £1. Inside the museum there are over fifty microcars on display, many in thought provoking dioramas and including examples of Bond, Isetta, Reliant, Frisky and Bamby, to name but a few. There is also a row of recreated shops for visitors to explore, memorabilia, a gift shop and a café, which is great for afternoon tea and also offers a few simple lunches. For anything more substantial, there is a cafe about a mile down the road called Langrick Station café. We are hoping that there will be some Bubble Car rides available on the day, which cost £15 for a 15-20 minute spin - when else would you have the chance to be a passenger in something so tiny?
