Drive it Day - East Anglia Lotus Club - Norfolk/Suffolk Run

First we will take the short journey to ASMotorsport, Fersfield Road, Bressingham (IP22 2AP). This is an ASM open day and it is understood they are kindly offering refreshments to visitors. This will be an opportunity to see an example close up of the ASM R1 Le Mans which ASM produce as a hand built replicas of the iconic Aston Martin DBR1 Le Mans so cheque books at the ready! Aston Martin owner David Brown achieved his aim of winning Le Mans with his team of three DBR1 cars of which only five were ever made. To learn more, go to http://www.asmotorsport.co.uk/index.html It is anticipated our ASM visit may be in the region of one hour after which we will drive to the Norfolk and Suffolk Aviation Museum. The Norfolk and Suffolk Aviation Museum at Flixton near Bungay (NR35 1NZ) is a popular venue especially for aviation enthusiasts with numerous aircraft on display and an extensive museum to view. There is plenty of off-road parking available, subject to how busy it is. On this particular occasion it is a 1940's themed day with an RAF Battle Of Britain flypast planned. With so much to see it is anticipated our visit here may be up to two hours. To learn more go to https://www.aviationmuseum.net/ The premises also conveniently stand adjacent to the Buck Inn Freehouse (NR35 1NZ tel. 01986 892382) which serves lunches etc. Finally, we will make our way via a cross country journey to the Breckland Stag carvery and restaurant, (off the A11) London Road, Attleborough (NR17 1AY, Tel. 01953 455202) where a late lunch or afternoon tea can be taken.
